Martha Black

Martha Black owns and operates Avodah Farm with her husband, Geoffrey Black. She is passionate about regenerative agriculture and rotational grazing, and brings this passion to her work raising and shechting kosher chickens. She believes that kosher slaughter should be meaningful and accessible, and be practiced in a way that is respectful and gentle towards animals. Avodah Farm produces approximately 200 kosher chickens a year and chickens are available for sale ON FARM only, we do not ship or mail them. Farm tours can be arranged and Martha does some guest speaking for classes but has limited time available for education.
